# Merge requests

Every test repository is a normal GitLab repository. We use merge requests to look at your work.

How it works:

1. Create a branch for each task, for example `task/01-algorithm`. Start from the `master` branch (or the branch named in the README of your test).
2. When you have finished a task, or when you want feedback, open a merge request from your task branch back to `master`.
3. While you are still working on the task, put `Draft:` in front of the title of the merge request.
4. Remove `Draft:` when you consider the task done.

You do **not** have to assign the merge request to anybody. We see all merge requests in your repository.

You cannot merge into `master` yourself. This is normal, the branch is protected. Your work is in the task branches and in the merge requests, and that is what we review.

If you cannot finish a task, or you hit a problem you cannot solve, write it down in the description of the merge request or in the README of the repository.
